Are you a frequent Spotify user? Spotify has been my music streaming choice for as long as I can remember streaming. A few months ago I found a site that actually keeps track of your Spotify statistics as if it is your personal Billboard chart. It’s an app called Spotistats.
Top Tracks
It charts your top fifty listened-to tracks for the last 4 weeks, 6 months, and all-time. It also gives a little green up arrow or red down arrow to let you know if a certain song has been played more or less. This feature itself was eye-opening for me. I am a music lover and until I became obsessed with BTS, my musical taste varied from ’60s and 70’s pop and rock to ’90s and current country music. It just depended on my mood. My mood lately has been overwhelmingly BTS. I drive quite a bit for my job which sometimes leaves me in the car for up to 3 hours at a time. Although I have relied on Audible for reading on the go, I have switched to music and podcasts all BTS centric.
My Top 3 All-Time:
1 Dynamite BTS
+1 2 Filter BTS
-1 3 Attack on Bangtan BTS
The rest of my top 50 wasn’t completely BTS. I had three Bay City Rollers songs and “Back for Good" by Take That.
I put my 80’s Rock playlist on.
The Spotistats app also tracks your top genres and top artists. Although my all-time top artist was (I’m sure you guessed it) BTS, my top all-time genres were
1. Soft Rock
2. Mellow Gold
3. Rock
It gave me some solace.
There’s also a Recently Played Tracks list that not only lists the tracks but the time you listened to them.
I paid for the premium service which was a one-time fee of about $3.50. This gives me access to my 99 top songs as well as audio features such as mood analyzing, lyrics, and chords, and BPM.
It’s really cool.
You can access some of this information without the app at https://www.statsforspotify.com/
But it looks like the app is more comprehensive. The developer is planning on launching new elements in the future.
It will also make a personal Top 50 playlist for Spotify.
I recommend checking it out.
In the meantime, if you feel K-poppy, check out my all-time playlist.
