DAY 2- The Journey

DAY 2

We were supposed to wake up at the hotel today and leisurely go sightseeing. We had a BTS event planned for the afternoon. Instead, we arrived at the rental car location at Louisville airport, and …you know what…I’m not going to document all the issues that came up. You would think after yesterday it would be smooth sailing. Not so much. I will skip to the part where it started to get better.

So we arrived at the Nashville airport so early we had to wait to check-in. As we sat in the ticketing area my headache that had been looming started to clear up. Heading back to the check-in counter we heard voices calling, “Army!”.

It was our first encounter. A small group of enthusiastic armys. We chatted for quite a while and spotted some more and then a couple more. By the time we were all at the gate, it was pretty obvious this plane was mostly carrying Army to their mecca. A few started sin

ging PTD and Butter as we boarded the plane. I tried to recreate the Jimin and JK boarding scene from GCF Tokyo but my photographer missed a good bit of it. (I didn’t warn her.)

We were all a little disappointed the pilot/flight attendants did not announce that we were traveling. But after a 3 and half hour trip (packed like sardines) we safely made it to Vegas. We got the UBER guy lost (gave him the wrong address, I told him 975 it was 475.) The hotel had a check-in line (after midnight, outside of Vegas proper). The clerk was using her phone to check guests in because the system was down. We finally straggled into our room around 1 am. I asked Sierra, “Doesn’t it seem like nothing has gone smoothly so far?” She agreed, then squealed, “Tomorrow we’ll see BTS!”

I woke up at 6. I tried to get more sleep but finally gave up. I let Sierra sleep until she woke up just before 9. I know there are lines waiting for us but at the end of the day, “We’ll see BTS!”
